The latest vehicle in Canada that is managed by VEMS recently received a very prestigious award. It's first American appearance took place at the 2008 SEMA show in Las Vegas, during the first week of November. 

The 2008 Kremyr Coupe was an instant show stopper, grabbing the attention of everyone that passed by, before the doors of the show opened. The car was hand built by Kremyr Chassisworks in Cloverdale, British Columbia. Everything was custom built to the exact specifications of the car's owner, Helmut Musil. This process took 2.5 years to complete which included and entirely custom engine management system for the 500 hp 347 Ford Racing engine. VEMS Canada's authorized distributor and installer, FireandFuel, engineered the perfect marriage of the VEMS system into this driving work of art. The Kremyr Coupe was parked outside of the North Hall entrance and it was inevitable that the 125,000 industry attendees of the show would have walked past this beautiful car and would have taken notice. This vehicle caused someone else to notice as well, the judges of the Mothers' Shine Award. 

Mothers Polishes, Waxes and Cleaners has handed out their Shine Award since 2001. This prestigious award honours Excellence in Vehicle Design and there are a total of 14 awards give out each year at SEMA. The top award is the Mothers Shine Award and there are 13 Mothers Choice Awards that are also given out to outstanding vehicles on display at SEMA. Over 2000 different kinds of automobiles attended the 2008 SEMA show and each one was looked over by the brothers that own Mothers. Of that, a select few cars (approximately 50) were asked to enter the judging round. Then, a special team of Mothers judges, that is comprised of international, world class car builders and other industry professionals, walked around and carefully inspected each vehicle in the running. By the afternoon on the third day of the show, Mothers handed out the awards to each of the car builders. And in 2008, for the first time ever, a Canadian VEMS managed car received one of the Mothers Choice Awards. The builder, Dwain Kremyr and the owner, Helmut Musil were very surprised and excited to receive this award from Mothers. After 2.5 years of work to make everything just right, it was very nice for them to have received recognition from their peers.
