Hilary Jung

Hilary Jung is a collaborative pianist and music educator based in Vancouver, British Columbia. She holds a Bachelor of Music with a Major in Piano from the University of British Columbia, where she studied under internationally acclaimed pianists Professor David Fung, Professor Lucas Wong, and Professor Rena Sharon. She also holds an ARCT in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music and has been immersed in classical music since the age of four.

A passionate collaborative musician, Hilary maintains an active freelance career and works regularly with singers, instrumentalists, and choirs in rehearsals, performances, examinations, competitions, festivals, and recordings. She began accompanying choirs at the age of twelve and has since developed extensive experience in choral and vocal collaboration. She currently serves as the choral pianist for Richmond Singers.

In addition to her collaborative work, Hilary is an experienced piano instructor who has taught students of various ages and levels. She currently teaches at Showcase Academy and accepts private piano students.

Hilary has attended prestigious summer programs, including the Anchorage Chamber Music Festival (2024) and Orford Musique Academy (2025). In 2025, she received two first-place awards in her category at the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival.

As a pianist with the Vancouver Extracurricular Music Society (VEMS), Hilary has worked with elementary school choirs at Queen Mary, Lord Selkirk, Lord Beaconsfield, Crosstown, and other schools throughout Vancouver. She is passionate about helping young musicians develop confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music, and is proud to support VEMS’s mission of making high-quality choral education accessible to students across the city.
