Originally from Wales, Alice is an experienced music educator now based in British Columbia after decades of teaching in Hong Kong. She has built an extensive pedagogical “toolbox,” including qualifications in Classical piano, Classical Singing, and Orff-Schulwerk, alongside explorations into Kodály and Dalcroze.
Alice teaches community-based group music classes, where she loves working with babies, toddlers, kindergarteners, and their families. Over the years, she has also served as a piano accompanist and substitute choir conductor for VEMS at Lord Tennyson Elementary School, finding deep joy in supporting and accompanying young, developing voices in choirs. She firmly believes music learning happens best through a fully embodied experience, turning complex concepts into joyful, physical, and multisensory discoveries.
When she isn’t jamming on instruments or singing four-part harmonies with her family, Alice can be found solving daily puzzles with a high-quality coffee and a dessert in hand!
