Specialties
Catherine is the Choral Program Director for VEMS. She currently conducts choirs for six ensembles at three schools. She started her choral conducting work with elementary school age children in 2009. She leads annual training for VEMS conductors and accompanists and supports the team at special events and more.
Catherine enjoys instructing children in choir and song, helping them find their voices, and learn the joys of live music-making.
A soprano Catherine is comfortable in both opera and recital. She studied French as a child and is particularly fond of French repertoire. Her musical journey has spanned the country from Victoria to St. Andrews NB, to Toronto, to Edmonton. She received her formal training from the Vancouver Academy of Music.
