The Vancouver Extracurricular Music Society (VEMS) privacy policy applies to all Board members, workers, volunteers, and those people using VEMS’ services.
VEMS collects only the necessary personal information to provide services and to issue tax receipts. VEMS does not share data with other organizations.
VEMS will not disclose personal details for purposes other than it was collected without consent.
The registration system for music ensembles uses high level encryption for all data when transmitted. Credit card data is not retained and is processed by a licensed 3rd party.
Data is retained only as long as required by law. (E.g. financial information is held for 7 years.)
Requests to adjust or remove personal data can be sent to president@vems.ca.
