Vancouver Extracurricular Music Society (VEMS) ensembles need to meet a minimum number of enrolled participants to run. In the circumstance where minimum numbers are not met, participants will be notified at least one week in advance and will receive a full refund.
If a student’s behaviour is deemed consistently disruptive to a rehearsal, after consultation with the parents, the VEMS has the right to withdrawal the student from the ensemble.
VEMS welcomes registration up to the 3rd week of rehearsals. After the 3rd week, registration is closed to new participants for the session. Late registrants are not normally eligible for prorated fees.
Participants can cancel the registration by logging into the registration system and clicking on Cancel. Refunds will be processed if the cancellation is received before the third week of rehearsals.
If a withdrawal is requested after the 3rd week of rehearsals, we cannot offer a refund or credit. The student may withdraw, but no refund will be issued.
